Come to Taiwan and Experience True Romance
Overseas Couples Make Romantic Pledges on Top of the World
Taipei, Taiwan, May 22, 2009
In response to the global economic recession and economic pressures of various kinds, the Taiwan Tourism Bureau is planning a wide range of new travel products that focus on the island’s high-quality, diversified, and super-value offerings to attract more international tourists and help them get the most out of their travel budget.
With promotions such as “Honeymoon Tour” and “Wedding Photo Shoot Tour” being offered, Taiwan’s Tourism Bureau is holding a “Love 101” event at Taipei 101 today (Friday May 22, 2009) to help create a romantic experience for overseas tourists in the world’s tallest building.
Taiwan has become a hot destination for tourists from Southeast Asia, many of whom like to visit our island and take pictures at romantic spots, especially Taipei 101, a landmark appreciated for its grandeur and romantic ambience.
To attract even more visitors to Taiwan, the Taiwan Tourism Bureau earlier this year kicked off the “Love 101” campaign, inviting couples in Hong Kong, Macao, Singapore and Malaysia to submit “vows of love” on the Internet. Six winning entries from these areas have come to Taiwan to participate in this event and present their works of love. Tourists who are participating in the “Honeymoon” or “Wedding Photo Shoot” package tours in Taiwan are also eligible to participate in the “Love 101” event today. Participants will receive a romantic dinner at Taipei 101 and have a chance to win a diamond ring in a prize drawing.
In addition to this event, from now until the end of the year, there will be lots of other romance-themed events in Taiwan, including the 2009 North Coast Wedding Photography Contest, Love at Sun Moon Lake Honeymoon Activity, Alishan Wedding Bliss Activity and Austronesian Ethnic Wedding Activity. We believe all of these events will shine the spotlight on Taiwan as one of the world’s most romantic places to visit.
