Kinmen, July 27 (CNA) The 2019 Kinmen Summer Music Festival featuring performances by popular Taiwanese singers and bands wrapped up four days of festivities Friday.

Following the success of last year's Quemoy International Music Festival, Kinmen Tourism Department decided to hold another four-day musical event at Houhu Seashore Park in Jinning Township from July 23-26.

This year, the festivities included performances by popular Taiwanese singer-songwriter Christine Fan (范瑋琪), who has a huge following on Facebook with more than 3 million fans.

The venue also featured several young bands such as Suitcase, known for their Indy-rock music, and Candy Kinmen Girls, a dance group formed by local school children.

The concert was held in the evenings from 7 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., and also included performances by street performers, and fun activities such as water slides, magic shows and fireworks.

Another major highlight this year included an aerial light show by drones which created air-borne puzzle images and the sentence "I Love Kinmen."

The tourism department said despite the conclusion of the four-day show, the fun cartoon fixtures on Houhu beach will remain there for visitors to snap pictures until Sept. 2.
