(中央社財經訊息服務20251210 13:37:57)Huijia Health has earned top recognition at the 2025 APICTA Awards, winning two prestigious Gold Awards—Health & Wellbeing and AI Technology—for its scalable, globally deployable, and cost-effective innovations. With its independently developed nFOPT® AI Non-Invasive Fiber-Optic Physiological Monitoring Technology and nFOPT® AI Smart Care System, Huijia distinguished itself among leading international competitors, bringing the Asia-Pacific region’s highest ICT honors once again back to Taiwan.

APICTA judges highlighted that Huijia’s nFOPT® AI technology delivers high sensitivity, high precision, zero electromagnetic interference, and supports continuous long-term physiological monitoring. The system automatically detects multiple physiological parameters—including respiration, heart rate, pulse waves, sleep stages, coughing frequency, and blood pressure trends—and further enables respiratory failure prediction, vital-sign deterioration analysis, and palliative care decision support.

The technology’s versatility extends across smart mattresses, pillows, seat cushions, assistive devices, integrated care systems, and even in-vehicle sensing, making it one of the rare AI medical platforms capable of advancing hospital care, long-term care, home health, and automotive safety simultaneously. Its ability to generate next-generation dynamic digital biomarkers further strengthens its position as a disruptive AI-driven medical innovation.

APICTA International Chairman Fulvio Inserra praised Huijia during the ceremony, stating:
“This technology is truly unique—scalable, cost-effective, and able to address multiple market needs. Huijia Health absolutely deserves this recognition. I believe they have the potential to succeed globally.”

APICTA Vice Chairman Professor Johnny Fan added:
“APICTA brings together outstanding teams from South Asia, Southeast Asia, Australia, and beyond. Winning two Gold Awards is an exceptional achievement for Huijia.”

Representing Taiwan, Huijia Health was shortlisted in two major categories and ultimately secured both Gold Awards, marking a milestone for the Taiwan delegation and demonstrating Taiwan’s rising impact in global smart healthcare innovation.

Huijia Health Chairwoman Shu-Chen Yang emphasized that this achievement belongs not only to the team but also to Taiwan’s innovation ecosystem. She expressed gratitude to the APICTA Taiwan Secretariat and the Taipei Computer Association for their intensive coaching that helped the team deliver a compelling international presentation. She also acknowledged long-term support from key government agencies and accelerator partners, including the Department of Digital Industries (MDDI), Small and Medium Enterprise Administration, Hsinchu Biomedical Incubation Center, National Association of Small & Medium Enterprises, R.O.C. (NASME), NYCU Aging Accelerator, Hsinchu County Government and StarFab’s Hsinchu AIoT Accelerator, local SBIR programs, Garage+, and TXA.

Chairwoman Yang reaffirmed Huijia’s mission to bring affordable, scalable, and clinically meaningful AI fiber-optic solutions to global healthcare markets—addressing challenges such as population aging, caregiver shortages, and medical accessibility. With the momentum of winning dual APICTA Gold Awards, Huijia Health will accelerate international clinical validation, strengthen global partnerships, and expand market deployment, advancing Taiwan’s smart care technologies onto the world stage and protecting more lives through innovation.
