(中央社訊息服務20240217 16:54:54)The Taipei International Book Exhibition will be held from February 20 to February 25, 2024, at the Taipei World Trade Center, Hall 1. Jehovah’s Witnesses are committed to promoting Bible education around the world and at this year’s Book Exhibition they are showcasing literature that introduces the world’s most widely circulated and translated book, the Bible, to the public. Jehovah’s Witnesses hope that this year’s exhibition will encourage young people from the net generation to explore the practical value of the Bible in modern life.

According to local spokesman of Jehovah’s Witnesses Johnson Jan, Jehovah’s Witnesses developed the JW Library® app as early as 2013 in response to the advent of the digital book era. This app makes it possible for people to access Bible-based materials anytime on their mobile devices.

Young people in the net generation often face many challenges in school and at home. The changing global environment in the post-pandemic era has led to the need for more diversified guidance for young people. Seeing this need Jehovah’s Witnesses published the book series Questions Young People Ask—Answers That Work. The series, available on JW Library app, helps young ones to apply Bible principles in an easy-to-understand way and delves into topics such as: how to make true friends, how to improve academic performance and how to maintain harmonious family relationships. Once JW Library has been downloaded young people can immediately refer to the mobile library for Bible-based guidance to make informed decisions when they encounter problems.

Jehovah’s Witnesses have participated in the Taipei International Book Exhibition since 2015, and this year marks their seventh time as exhibitors. Mrs. Teng who previously worked as a volunteer at the exhibition met a high school student at the booth who wondered why the Bible was the best-selling book of all time despite all the different religions in the world. He hoped the Bible could help him understand the world and give him the answers to life’s questions. Mrs. Teng shared some Bible verses with him and explained to him God’s purpose for the earth and humankind. The student left with some Bible literature and hoped that Jehovah’s Witnesses would visit him after the exhibition and help him learn more about the bible.

Every year, Jehovah’s Witnesses distribute millions of copies of Bible literature free of charge to interested readers. The official website of Jehovah’s Witnesses, jw.org®, and JW Library app have no advertisements and all digital publications are free to download. At booth B1213 of this year’s exhibition, nearly 40 Witness volunteers will take turns working onsite to introduce visitors to the official website, the JW Library app and a variety of Bible literature. Interested visitors to the booth are welcome to apply for a free interactive Bible course. A personal instructor will contact the applicants and arrange to start the Bible course using the study guide Enjoy Life Forever!
