Raising Healthy, Happy, Resilient Children - One Bible education website is an interactive learning portal for parents and kids
(中央社訊息服務20231120 13:36:55)It’s Saturday morning and Cong Qi is watching animated videos but the content isn’t what usually appears on social media sites. Instead, the twelve- year-old views whiteboard animations with topics that include how to communicate with parents, smart social media use, and how to deal with peer pressure.
“I love whiteboard animations because they are short and easy to understand. I can immediately grasp the meaning and learn new lessons quickly,” says Cong Qi, who lives with his parents in Yilan.
Millions of children, like Cong Qi, are using one of the most visited Bible education websites in the world to learn life skills – from cleaning their rooms to cultivating love for all cultures.
JW.ORG, the official website of Jehovah’s Witnesses, has become a powerful teaching tool for children. It offers a free digital library of videos, articles, songs and interactive activities that have helped kids become healthy, happy and resilient.
“Our website has been an amazing resource for both parents and children,” said local spokesman Johnson Jan. “When kids grasp Bible principles and apply them at school and within the family, they live happier, more fulfilling lives.”
Concern over today’s youth has increased with the rise of global economic, social and political issues. To improve children’s welfare and promote international togetherness and awareness, the United Nations calls for the yearly observance of World Children’s Day on Nov. 20.
As part of their faith, the Witnesses use the Scriptures to emphasize love, unity and kindness among their children. JW.ORG helps parents teach these qualities in captivating and interactive ways.

For example, the popular “Become Jehovah’s Friend” animated series has been downloaded over 1.7 billion times on jw.org since its debut in 2012. In the series, two school-age siblings – Caleb and Sophia – are raised in a Christian household. With the help of their parents, they apply Bible principles in episodes, such as:
• Making Friends.
• Don’t Give Up.
• Be Truthful.
The Witnesses’ website also has animated music videos with catchy tunes that teach children many life skills, including how to:
• Respect Older Ones.
• Love All Sorts of People.
• Be Loyal.
An activities section provides downloadable and printable puzzles, mazes, coloring pages, arts and crafts, and other learning exercises, such as:
• I Love to Clean!
• The Best Use of Time.
• Endure Unfair Treatment.
Jehovah’s Witnesses’ activities are international. They hold regular meetings at Kingdom Halls worldwide in over 900 languages. Bible-based content is available in over 1,000 languages on jw.org. Large in-person conventions are also held yearly, welcoming people of all nationalities to three-day, scripturally based programs.
Young and old participate together in all the Witnesses’ activities. A volunteer ministry is another opportunity for parents to teach their children Jesus Christ’s command to love their neighbors and to share an integral aspect of their unity – the Biblical promise of a better tomorrow.
“We teach our kids that the practical wisdom and the message of hope found in the Bible have the power to improve people's lives and bring them true peace and happiness,” said Cong Qi’s father. “We are convinced that the Bible’s promises of a bright future will come true and that all of the bad things will be gone. So, no matter how bad world conditions are today, we are not afraid.”
Cong Qi has enough time to watch one more whiteboard video before he heads out the door with his parents for the ministry. “I can use this one to help other kids do what is right,” he says and presses play on the video titled: “What’s a Real Friend?” He hopes he can get a chance to share it with someone he meets.
All meetings, programs, events and Bible-based material of Jehovah’s Witnesses are free of charge. To find teaching resources for children, visit jw.org > Bible Teachings > Children.
