(中央社訊息服務20250514 11:00:55)Spring and summer bring Hualien into full bloom! This May, the Hualien County Government warmly invites everyone to visit the Hualien Pavilion at the Kaohsiung International Travel Fair and Taipei Tourism Exposition to plan their next unforgettable trip to Hualien. In partnering with the Hualien County tourism associations and supported by local organizations representing accommodations, souvenirs, and whale-watching tours, the County Government is promoting the theme “Blooms with Bliss” at four major travel fairs in 2025: Kaohsiung International Travel Fair (May 9-12), Taipei Tourism Exposition (TTE, May 23-26), Taipei International Summer Travel Fair (July 18-21), and Taipei International Travel Fair (ITF, November 7-10). At each event, visitors to the Hualien Pavilion will find curated travel packages, exclusive deals, and specialty products—all designed to showcase the beauty and hospitality of Hualien. The County Government encourages the public to actively support Hualien’s tourism industry and rediscover the region’s magic through these vibrant exhibitions.
Joshua Yu, Director-General of the Hualien County Tourism Department, noted that the County Government is working closely with Hualien Tourism Association, Hotel Association, Commercial District Development Association, and the Tour Guide and Tour Manager Association to present a unified image at this year’s fairs. From May 9 to 12 at the Kaohsiung Exhibition Center, the Hualien Pavilion will showcase exhibitors such as Starry Inn, Antong Hot Spring Hotel, Yi Yuan Resort, Hotel Moon, Whale World, and Promisedland Resort. From May 23 to 26 at the Taipei World Trade Center Hall 1, featured exhibitors include the returning Starry Inn, Antong Hot Spring Hotel, Yi Yuan Resort, Hotel Moon, Whale World, as well as Wonderful Apiary, Li Chuan Aquafarm, Azure Villa, Hsinwei Soy Sauce, and Li-Shiuan International Hotel, offering high-quality accommodation packages and local travel products. Visitors are welcome to stop by, explore limited-time offers, and speak directly with exhibitors for personalized travel advice. This is a great opportunity to prepare for your next trip to Hualien.
The Tourism Department also highlighted a packed summer schedule. In addition to the ongoing 2025 Mambo Sincheng Pacific International Rock Balancing Art Festival at Qixingtan Beach, Hualien will host a variety of engaging seasonal events, including the popular “2025 Hualien FUN Summer” (July 12 - August 10), the renowned “2025 Hualien Summer Festival,” romantic “Starry Night Concert” (August 2 and August 23), the internationally acclaimed “2025 Austronesian Joint Harvest Festival” (July 18-20), and refreshing water activities at Cikasuan Park (July-August). Summer in Hualien promises nonstop fun, delicious cuisine, and breathtaking scenery.
To attract more international visitors, Hualien County Government has launched the “2025 Foreign Group Travel Incentive Program,” which runs until November 30. Travel agencies that book accommodations in Hualien and take part in designated eco-friendly activities such as staying at green hotels, dining at eco-restaurants, visiting environmental education centers, joining zero-carbon tours, and registering with the Net Zero APP can apply online for incentives of up to NT$4,000 per traveler. The county welcomes both domestic and international tourists. With daily flights from Taipei and direct flights from Hong Kong operating every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, it is now more convenient than ever to explore Hualien’s rich culture, culinary experiences, and breathtaking natural scenery.
