“2025 Hualien FUN Summer Vacation” Wins Platinum at U.S. TITAN Innovation Awards, Showcasing HL’s Creative Tourism Globally

Celebrated for its creative integration of water-based recreation, family-friendly activities, and local cultural experiences, the program was awarded Platinum Winner in the Seasonal Festival & Cultural Tourism category at the 2025 TITAN Innovation Awards, organized by the International Awards Associate (IAA). Selected by a panel of international judges, the TITAN Innovation Awards honor projects that demonstrate outstanding achievement in marketing strategy, creative execution, and social impact. The recognition stands as one of the world’s leading benchmarks for innovation in cultural and experiential programming.

Hualien County Mayor Hsu Chen-Wei expressed heartfelt thanks to the international jury for acknowledging the work of the County team. She emphasized that “Hualien FUN Summer Vacation” is rooted in the values of family travel, nature exploration, and sustainable tourism, and brings to life the majestic beauty of Hualien’s mountains and coastline alongside its vibrant, welcoming lifestyle. While Guangfu Township faced natural disasters earlier this year, Hualien’s recovery efforts have showcased the region’s resilience. Other areas of the County remain just as picturesque and full of warmth, with open arms to greet global travelers. Mayor Hsu reaffirmed that Hualien will continue to move forward with authenticity, sustainability, and innovation, inviting the world not only to see Hualien but to fall in love with it.

According to Tourism Department Director-General Yu Ming-Hsun, this year’s FUN Summer campaign was themed “We Bloom & Cool Summer Fun”, blending water activities at Liyu Lake, weekend creative performances, food truck markets, and immersive nighttime light installations. The campaign successfully drew a diverse crowd of families and young travelers. Receiving the Platinum award at the TITAN Innovation Awards is both a tribute to the creativity and hard work behind the campaign and a major milestone in Hualien’s journey toward global brand recognition. Yu added that the County will continue to enhance local festivals with bold new ideas and deepen the integration of culture and tourism, making every season in Hualien a lasting memory for travelers.

The TITAN Innovation Awards, established by the International Awards Associate (IAA), celebrate excellence in marketing, design, technology, and cultural promotion. The 2025 edition attracted more than 1,000 entries from over 40 countries.
