Bank of Taiwan celebrated its 127th anniversary with the grand presentation of the “Echoes of Classics • Voices Eternal — 2026 Bank of Taiwan Centennial Symphony Gala” at the National Concert Hall in Taipei. The event brought together corporate partners, wealth management clients, and distinguished guests from across sectors to commemorate a significant milestone in the Bank’s longstanding commitment to Taiwan and its steady institutional growth.
In her opening remarks, Chairperson Ling Jong-Yuan noted that the Bank’s enduring success over the past century has been made possible through the trust and support of customers and stakeholders from all walks of life. Amid an evolving global economic landscape, the Bank has continued to strengthen its capabilities and refine its services. Looking ahead, she emphasized that the Bank will further enhance its financial services while remaining firmly committed to sustainable development and collaborative progress with society.
As an expression of appreciation for longstanding support, this anniversary celebration featured a large-scale musical gala led by Professor Hsu Ching-Hsin, Resident Conductor of the New Art Symphony Orchestra. Renowned musicians including bamboo flute virtuoso Ren Zhong, erhu performer Chiang Chia-Jui, and soprano Lin Fang-Yu were invited to perform alongside the orchestra. The program showcased an elegant repertoire spanning classical symphonies, operatic selections, celebrated arias, and traditional Chinese music, artfully blending Eastern and Western musical traditions into a rich and multidimensional cultural experience.
The evening concluded on a heartfelt note as the orchestra led all 1,772 guests in a moving sing-along performance of beloved classics “Moonlight in the City” and “I Only Care About You,” creating a warm and memorable finale in celebration of the Bank’s 127th anniversary and bringing the atmosphere to an emotional peak.
In parallel with its anniversary celebrations, Bank of Taiwan continues to prioritize sustainable development and actively advance green finance and low-carbon transformation initiatives. Last year, the Bank introduced Taiwan’s first eco-conscious wooden credit card, the “Green Go Card,” symbolizing its commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainable living. As the Green Go Card approaches its first anniversary this year, the Bank is launching a series of promotional initiatives to further encourage the integration of carbon reduction practices into everyday life.
Looking forward, Bank of Taiwan will continue to uphold its principles of prudent management while deepening its sustainability strategy. By integrating financial expertise with innovative thinking, the Bank aims to work alongside partners across industries to promote balanced economic growth and environmental protection, advancing toward a more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable future.
