(中央社訊息服務20250924 12:27:07)Authorized by 2006 Nobel Peace Prize laureate and Chief Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus, the Foundation for Yunus Social Business Taiwan is dedicated to advancing the 3ZERO vision—zero net carbon emissions, zero poverty, and zero unemployment. In Taichung, the foundation established the Yunus Story House, which has been promoting the “Yunus Baby Boss” Program to nurture financial quotient and sustainability awareness among children.

This summer (2025), under the guidance of the Ministry of Education and the Education Bureau of Taichung City Government, the Taichung Family Education Center and the Foundation co-hosted a three-part program at the Yunus Story House during summer vacation. The series, titled“Picture Books on Gender Equality x Parent-Child Sustainability Workshop,” used storytelling to instill values of gender equity in children and hands-on DIY workshops to teach families how to adopt low-carbon lifestyle practices.

The Yunus Story House has long been active in the local community, using activities to foster parent-child interaction, build sound saving and money management habits, and encourage children to reflect on the importance of carbon reduction through recycled crafts. The summer vacation provided the perfect opportunity to deepen these exchanges. Parents and children explored gender equality through engaging storybooks and learned sustainability skills from local community lecturers. The July 19 session also collaborated with the 臺中女子市集 and the 天主教善牧基金會, integrating social business branding with gender equality education. 巫春慧, Director of the Taichung Family Education Center, attended the event and offered her support.

Parents expressed appreciation for the program, noting how meaningful it was to learn about gender issues alongside their children while also gaining awareness of environmental sustainability. One child shared during the reflection session, “Through the picture book, I realized how important it is to respect others’ different preferences. I will try to be more respectful in the future.”

Philippa Tsai, President of the Foundation, expressed gratitude to the Taichung Family Education Center for the invitation: “This collaboration bridges government and community efforts in promoting the 3ZERO vision, helping children build the right values from an early age.” CEO Juno Wang added, “Professor Yunus founded Grameen Bank because he saw the challenges of gender inequality. His vision for inclusive finance was always about promoting gender equality. Our foundation will continue to move forward with projects that support diversity and inclusivity.”

The Foundation for Yunus Social Business Taiwan remains committed to supporting vulnerable groups and lifelong learners in sustainability, social innovation, and entrepreneurial education. With the power of good, it seeks to inspire stories of change across communities. President Philippa Tsai and CEO Juno Wang sincerely call on corporations, organizations, and the public to support this mission through donations, helping to build a stronger, more inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem for social business founders, mid-career innovators, and marginalized groups.

Every contribution is a spark of hope that keeps the force of social innovation moving forward.
