台北市長蔣萬安與前總統馬英九出席228紀念追思活動，馬英九致詞時表示，面對不幸歷史事件要就事論事，並化仇恨為友愛；蔣萬安則表示正視歷史過往才能促進社會進步，並再一次向受難者家屬致歉。然而現場有家屬不滿馬蔣二人到場，怒稱其為加害者，對此蔣萬安回應尊重不同意見。
