Empowering Taiwanese Youth for Global Change: Foundation for Yunus Social Business Taiwan Concludes 3ZERO Doer Campus Tour
(中央社訊息服務20260626 15:49:10)To foster public participation among young generations and drive sustainable social action, the Foundation for Yunus Social Business Taiwan is hosting the "3rd 3ZERO Doer". Encouraging young people to propose innovative action plans addressing Taiwanese social issues or SDGs indicators. This year's competition supports youth through prize money, training resources, crowdfunding platforms, and youth community networking, accompanying them in transforming creativity into practical, ground-level social actions.
By equipping students with practical toolkits and connecting them to local crowdfunding platforms-LiFUNd, the Foundation for Yunus Social Business Taiwan is establishing a self-sustaining incubation network in Taiwan's higher education sector. This localized success serves as a strong testament to how the global 3ZERO framework can be effectively adapted to mobilize youth, creating measurable social impact and inspiring future global changemakers.
President Philippa Tsai of the Foundation for Yunus Social Business Taiwan emphasized that the 3ZERO goals—Zero Net Carbon Emissions, Zero Poverty, and Zero Unemployment are not just abstract benchmarks but actionable pathways for the youth. By combining on-campus training, practical proposal workshops, and social innovation ecosystems, we hope to inspire young people to observe their local communities and develop tangible solutions to pressing social issues.
CEO Juno Wang added that this year’s campus tour expanded its geographical reach across northern, central, and southern Taiwan. The foundation collaborated with Soochow University, National Taichung University of Science and Technology, and Chang Jung Christian University to host highly interactive workshops. Through gamified icebreakers, issue mapping, and group ideation, the tour made the core values of social business accessible and actionable for university students.
Throughout the tour, students demonstrated profound interest in addressing social issues such as rural education, environmental conservation, elderly care, and climate action. Beyond the immediate competition framework, numerous student teams actively sought guidance to establish 3ZERO CLUBs on their campuses and inquired about competing in the advanced Taiwan Yunus Social Business Innovation Award, which requires a fully-fledged commercial model.
